Working for logical immigation reform based on a stable population, a recognition of the finite nature of our natural resources and the adverse impact of continued growth on our quality of life, standard of living, national interest, character, language, sovereignty and the rule of law. Pushing back and countering the disloyal elements in American society and the anti-American rhetoric of the leftwing illegal alien lobbies. In a debate, when your opponents turn to name calling, it's a good sign you've already won.

Keynote Speech for the Democratic Convention

My fellow Democrats!

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We neglect our bridges, tunnels and highways and spend the money on pork

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have dumbed down our schools and wonder why our children fail in a competitive world

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

We have polluted our planet with too many people and called it economic growth

We have allowed our language to be replaced with a Tower of Babel and called it diversity

We have allowed our borders to be overrun by illegal aliens and called it freedom of access

We have shipped our treasure to the Middle East and the Orient and called it free trade

We have built millions of gas guzzlers instead of hybrids and electric cars and called it a response to demand

We have delayed the development of domestic oil supplies and alternative energy sources which some would call "fiddling while Rome is burning"

We have failed to seek compromise with those across the aisle and called it serving the people

We have failed to take decisive action on Social Security and Medicare and called it politics as usual

We have failed to simplify our income tax system but we still expect everyone to pay their taxes

We have failed to adequately fund the war on terror and we called it supporting the troops

We have failed to allow bills to be voted on and we called it democracy in action

We have given up our national sovereignty and are still seeking an adequate euphemism for it

We talk about secure borders but refuse to provide the tools needed to achieve it

We want to excuse all those who have violated our borders but say this is not amnesty

We want to socialize medicine and call it improved health care

We want to redistribute wealth and call it fair when one man receives, without working, what another man must work for without receiving

We want to avoid indexing capital gains so that we can increase taxes without a vote

We want to double tax dividends and call it taxing the rich

We criticize the war in Iraq but know full well our economy will collapse without oil

We have rolled out all the old liberal ideas and called it change

We need to search for solutions and stop the incessant criticism of any ideas that are or were not invented by the Democrat party. Thank you
